Estimate basis: a supplier-modelled 50,000-litre pool, 365 operating days and eight hours per day. The reference single-speed pump runs for eight hours; the variable speed schedule is six hours on low, one on medium and one on high. The 25c and 40c examples scale the same energy use to different electricity rates. These are illustrative scenarios, not measured results for your pool or a guarantee of equal water turnover. Actual costs depend on speed settings, runtime, plumbing, filter condition and equipment flow requirements. Use your electricity usage rate including GST; fixed daily charges are excluded. Savings cover pump electricity only and exclude purchase, installation and maintenance.
Control the flow to suit your pool
The backlit LCD shows motor speed, while adjustable presets make it easy to choose your usual settings. Programme up to four daily timer periods for circulation and other pool tasks. Lower-speed filtration can reduce both power use and operating noise; higher settings are available when vacuuming or filter cleaning requires more flow.
Choose a schedule that maintains the minimum flow required by your chlorinator, heater and cleaner. Saltwater and chlorinated pools can both be suitable, subject to equipment matching and correct water chemistry.

Will it suit my pool?
This pump is an option for residential pool owners upgrading their circulation system or replacing a single-speed pump. Pool volume alone does not determine the right pump. Pipe size, filter limits, elevation, heating and cleaning equipment all affect the selection.

Frequently asked questions
Is 1.0 HP the electricity consumption?
No. Horsepower describes the pump's motor class. This unit has a rated electrical input of 1,250 W, with actual consumption varying according to its speed and workload.
Will it fit straight into my existing plumbing?
That depends on the existing pump dimensions, inlet and outlet positions, unions and pipework. A replacement may need plumbing changes. Send us photos before ordering if you would like help checking.
Can it work with my chlorinator or heat pump?
It can be used in a correctly matched system that meets each item's flow requirements. Where a chlorinator controls pump power, its schedule needs to be coordinated with the pump. Remote speed control requires compatible equipment and should be checked separately.
Will it save money if I run it at full speed?
The main savings come from running at a suitable lower speed for routine filtration. Running at high speed throughout the day may substantially reduce or eliminate the savings shown above.
