Zodiac Spa OxyShock is a chlorine-free oxidising shock treatment for spa pools. Formulated with 45.2% Potassium Peroxy-Monosulphate and 4.75% active oxygen, it breaks down organic contaminants and chloramines, restoring water clarity and sanitiser efficiency without adding chlorine to the water.
Particularly effective in bromine-dosed spas and ioniser systems, OxyShock oxidises combined chlorine and reactivates spent bromine, returning your sanitiser to full working strength.
Dosing
- Initial treatment. 30g per 1,000L.
- Weekly maintenance. 15g per 1,000L.
Key Benefits
- Chlorine-free oxidiser. Removes chloramines and organic waste without increasing the chlorine level, making it ideal for ioniser-dosed spas.
- Reactivates bromine sanitisers. Oxidising spent bromamines returns bromine to its active form, extending sanitiser life and reducing chemical costs.

- Compatible with ioniser systems. Safe to use alongside silver and copper ioniser systems without disrupting mineral balance.
Important notes before use
- This product has a low pH of 2.9. Overdosing can cause both pH and Total Alkalinity to drop. Dose carefully and retest water balance after treatment.
- May produce a FALSE high total chlorine reading for up to 28 hours after application. This is normal and not a cause for concern.
- When shocking your spa, remove all covers. If the spa is indoors, open windows and doors to allow oxidised contaminants to vent safely.
