The AstralPool Mineral Guard Replacement Cartridge WN000042 renews the mineral treatment in your installed Mineral Guard unit. It lets you keep the existing housing and replace the consumable cartridge as part of scheduled pool maintenance.

Check compatibility before ordering
This cartridge is for AstralPool Mineral Guard. It is not a debris filter or replacement chlorinator cell. If your equipment carries an older Nature2 or Zodiac label, send us a photo and the model details so we can check the correct part before you order.
The installed system must continue to use chlorine or a saltwater chlorinator. Do not use it with bromine or bromide-based products, PHMB/biguanides, copper-based algaecides or soda ash.
Replacement and activation
Arrange replacement in accordance with the manufacturer's guide by a qualified pool equipment professional. The pump must be switched off and system pressure released before opening the housing.
Each new cartridge needs activation. The replacement guide specifies approximately 3 ppm free chlorine for around two weeks before returning to the appropriate operating level. Follow the complete instructions and advice for your pool; do not simply replace the cartridge and immediately reduce chlorine.
Do not use a cartridge for longer than six continuous months or save an exhausted cartridge for reuse. Continue normal filtration, chlorine testing and water balancing.

Does this include the complete Mineral Guard unit?
No. You receive the replacement cartridge only. You need an existing compatible Mineral Guard housing to use it.
Is this a pool filter cartridge?
No. This cartridge supplies mineral treatment. Your pool filter still handles particles and debris.
Can I use it without chlorine?
No. Mineral Guard supplements chlorine-based sanitation. It does not make your pool chlorine-free.
Will it fit every Nature2 system?
Do not assume compatibility from the Nature2 name alone. Check the housing model with Perfect Pools NZ before purchasing for older or differently branded equipment.
What warranty applies?
AstralPool NZ lists six months of warranty cover on Mineral Guard replacement cartridges, subject to its warranty terms. This is separate from the scheduled replacement interval.
